Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center at LaVilla (JRTC)

Current Status: Recently Completed
The Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center at LaVilla, or JRTC, opened on Monday, May 4, 2020, and connects customers to Downtown Jacksonville from all areas of the city and the Northeast Florida region. As Downtown Jacksonville’s main bus transfer facility, the JRTC at LaVilla brings together JTA bus routes, the First Coast Flyer, the Skyway, regional shuttles, rideshare, paratransit and other shared transportation in a modern and environmentally friendly facility.

Johnson Commons

Current Status: Under Construction
Now on the market, starting at $329,900. Located in the historic neighborhood of LaVilla in Downtown Jacksonville, Johnson Commons is a new townhome community designed to honor the neighborhood's history and architecture. Corner Lot Development Group and JWB Real Estate Capital are building 91 townhomes and 10,000 SF of ground-level retail next to Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing Park in LaVilla. In addition, the transit-oriented development is in close proximity to the JTA Skyway and Regional Transportation Center, providing convenient access to major employment centers, dining, sports venues, and entertainment. Jones on Hogan

Current Status: Approved
Jones on Hogan, located at 502 North Hogan in Downtown Jacksonville, will offer modern urban living while incorporating the historic seven-story Jones Brothers Furniture Co. building, constructed in 1929, as its development inspiration. Corner Lot Development Group plans to redevelop the seven-story historic building to include 177 apartment units, 10,200 SF of retail and 25 internal parking spaces. Kasper Architects has expanded its Jacksonville presence with this second, Downtown office, opened in Fall 2024. Kasper Architects is a full service architectural and interior design firm.

Laura Street Trio

Current Status: In Review
SouthEast Development Group is planning the adaptive reuse of three historic buildings for a 143-room Marriott Bonvoy – Autograph Collection Hotel and 29,000 SF of retail to include a high-end “Sophisticated Southern” restaurant, a 4,400 SF bodega, a rooftop bar, plus a parking garage. A second phase will construct 169 apartments and 6,550 SF of retail space. Investment: $178,865,000 Status: In review

LaVilla Place Former Pratt Funeral Home

Current Status: Under Construction
Silver Street Management's development team intends to convert the former funeral home into 13 apartments and a retail space that could potentially become a restaurant, coffee shop, or wine bar. The developer also plans to add a courtyard, swimming pool, and parking lot just west of the building. Total Development Cost: $4.98 million

Lennox on Park

Columbia Ventures is planning a five-story, 342 unit apartment building with 8,338 SF of restaurant and retail space, and 450 parking spaces on a vacant Brooklyn parcel. Investment: $100 million Status: In review

Liberty Street Marina

Current Status: Approved
Project includes developing a public marina in daylighted basin for approximately 50 boats of varying sizes with designated water taxi landing, fuel dock, pump-out station, and marina office with restrooms/showers.

Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing Park

Current Status: Recently Completed
Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing Park is a City of Jacksonville public park honoring brothers James Weldon Johnson and J. Rosamond Johnson, two of Jacksonville's most influential and internationally renowned cultural icons, who wrote the hymn “Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing” in the early 1900s at their home in Jacksonville. Called the “Black National Anthem” by the NAACP, the Johnson Brothers’ powerful hymn has been sung and performed across generations throughout the past 125 years. Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing Park was designed by world-renowned MacArthur Foundation “Genius Grant” recipient Walter Hood to incorporate elements of the Johnson brothers’ and LaVilla’s cultural and built history while making space for a more inclusive future.
